“Known as the bakery of the “World’s Best Cream Puffs,” Beard Papa’s has been a household name since 1999 when Yuji Hirota opened the first Beard Papa’s store in Osaka, Japan pumping out this unique cream puff to happy people.”

In 1999, a small bakery opened in the small town of Osaka, Japan with the motto Pipin' Hot Cream Puffs. People in the town couldn’t resist the aroma from the bakery, or the kind face of the owner, Yuji Hirota. His fluffy white beard was so renowned that he became known as “Beard Papa” to all of his regular customers.

People loved his new treat so much that he had to open another store to accommodate all of his new friends. He never stopped, and now there are over 400 Beard Papa’s worldwide that have some of the best cream puffs ever made. Since its beginnings Beard Papa's has grown considerably expanding outside of Osaka and Japan to Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, the United States and Vietnam.

As the art director for Beard Papas, I directed and occasionally styled photoshoots, as well as providing direction for all branding assets ranging from POP displays, to in-store promotional posters, packaging and social media assets.
